Bantaeng Ministry of Religious Affairs Conducts Feasibility Survey for the Establishment of MA An-Nawawi Islamic Boarding School
An Nawawi Islamic Boarding School – An-Nawawi Islamic Boarding School (IBS) Pa’Bumbungang has taken a significant step toward expanding its educational services. Wednesday, April 22 2026, the Head of the Madrasah Education Section (PEMAD) of the Bantaeng Regency Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, Dr. Salam, S.Ag., S.Pd., M.Pd., conducted an official visit to the institution to assess the feasibility of establishing the An-Nawawi Islamic Boarding School Madrasah Aliyah (MA) in Pa’Bumbungang Village, Bantaeng Regency.

The arrival of the verification team from the Bantaeng Ministry of Religious Affairs was warmly received by the school’s leadership and foundation members. The reception was attended by:
  • H. Sumarno (Founder of the Islamic Boarding School)
  • Dr. Abudzar Al Qifari, S.Pd.I., M.Pd.I. (Chairman of the An-Nawawi IBS Foundation)
  • The Principal of SMP IT An-Nawawi IBS
  • The Principal of MA An-Nawawi IBS
  • The faculty (ustadz and ustazah), and all students of An-Nawawi IBS.

This visit is a crucial component of the administrative and factual verification procedures required to ensure that the facilities, infrastructure, and prepared curriculum meet the national education standards for madrasahs.

The Chairman of the An-Nawawi IBS Foundation, Dr. Abudzar Al Qifari, expressed great optimism and high hopes regarding this feasibility survey. He noted that the introduction of the Madrasah Aliyah (Senior High School level) within the An-Nawawi environment is a direct response to the needs of the community and students who wish to pursue integrated education in Pa’Bumbungang Village.

"We hope that through this feasibility survey, the operational permit and the official opening of MA An-Nawawi Islamic Boarding School can be realized soon. Our target is to begin accepting new students before the upcoming academic year," Dr. Abudzar stated in his remarks.

During the visit, Dr. Salam, as the Head of the Madrasah Education Section, conducted a direct inspection of various learning support facilities. The assessment covered several key aspects, including legal documentation, classroom availability, dormitory facilities, and the readiness of the teaching staff.

This visit is expected to maintain the synergy between private educational institutions and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, aimed at improving the quality of human resources with noble character (akhlakul karimah) in the Bantaeng region, particularly in Pa’Bumbungang Village.
